On 5th April 2017, Transparency Maldives’ Climate Integrity Project, conducted a workshop for the Adaptation Governance Standards that the team is carrying out. 14 participants from various stakeholder groups participated in the workshop.

Stakeholders from civil society, the private sector, international aid agencies and government institutions participated in the study and its validation.
During the workshop, participants were initially familiarized with the methodology, data collection, qualitative and quantitive results of the study. Following which, an interactive session was carried out where stakeholders identified ways to improve Adaptation Standards in the Country.

Recommendations were separated into the four phases of project life: Prioritization, Access, Delivery and Monitoring. These recommendations were further classified under the five indicators of good governance: Transparency, Accountability, Participation, Coherence, and Integrity.

The workshop proved fruitful with discussions regarding the recommendations by each group wherein further suggestions were made to improve the collective recommendations of all participants.
